Superintendent Search

The Firebaugh-Las Deltas Unified School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Troy Cox as Superintendent. Following a comprehensive search process, The Board of Trustees approved Mr. Cox’s employment contract by majority vote at its regular board meeting on October 9, 2025. His official start date is October 20, 2025.

Mr. Cox brings more than 25 years of experience in education, including service as both a high school and elementary school principal, an assistant superintendent, and CEO of a charter school, along with executive leadership roles across districts and county offices throughout California.

Mr. Cox is recognized for his commitment to equity, innovation, and student success. He has led initiatives that prioritize the needs of all learners, built strong partnerships with educators and families, and developed programs that expand opportunities for students to thrive academically and personally.

“I am truly honored to be selected as the Superintendent of Firebaugh-Las Deltas Unified School District,” said Mr. Cox. “I look forward to the opportunity to serve a community that values excellence and opportunity for every student. Together with our staff, families, and community, I am committed to ensuring that every student has the tools and support to succeed.” Mr. Cox and his wife of 27 years are proud parents of two daughters and two sons, as well as loving grandparents to a granddaughter and grandson.
